Not sure if this could be a strike through, or just damage.

Kind of looks like the lapel of his coat was stamped through the crack. Might night see from my camera phone pictures. But thought I'd post n ask about it.

Thanks!

I am pretty sure it's a struck through error. Nice find!

I'm on the fence with this one, to me the bottom portion of the "error" looks to be pushed up.......better/closer photos of the area?....

It MAY BE struck through a rim burr that detached after the strike, but I'm not sure.

The way the copper toning is inside of the area in question (it is the same as the rest of the coin) leads me to conclude that this is probably a struck through error. Not an expert though, so I'll wait for the experts to chime in.

My thought is a struck through a rim burr. Nice.

Awesome, was wondering what it could be struck through and burr seems to match from what I've looked at last night.

Will eventually get something to get better close ups.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
