Hello-

I received this 1943 steel penny and was pretty amazed by the condition. Is there a way that I would be able to tell if this coin was previously cleaned and if there was a clear coating put on it? I tried to take several angle pics to get the almost mirror like look it has. Also has a very nice tone.

Thanks
-Rachcakes

It appears to have been re-processed (re-plated), very common for these wartime steel cents.

Thanks Coinfrog...So I know these aren't worth much as it is, but does re-processing devalue coins in general or is it unchanged in value?
Rest in Peace
