I have many, many rolls of these and am more interested in what to pick out to keep; was looking for clean strikes with minimal scratches and dings or anything unusual. For coins that have done little beyond sit in a paper roll, they have an awful lot of marks and this whole roll has a ton of the black as well. The black spots are common, sometimes straight from the mint, but usually due to poor storage. I wouldn't automatically cull a coin over a black spot or more because it could still be the best one you'll find. Most of the 70's cents (and later) are garbage right off the mint press averaging MS60-63. They made billions and didn't care about dings, dents, spots or die state. Lincoln Cent Lover!
