I think that we can see the rim clearly enough to see that it isn't likely a seam, such as with a Magician's coin. However, I would like to point out that Mike Diamond (who is the senior editor of the website you are citing) is the real deal. kingtk24 Valued Member United States 80 Posts	Posted 05/21/2020 11:39 pm Ive looked at several other 1972's...i cant find any differance at all other than the weight issue and normal wear of course...ive also studied Rolled Thin Planchet pictures as well for the last 2hrs(doesn't make me a PRO). Ive read several articles by Mike as well as others(newer and Older) on the subject..and what I understand about "Rolled Thin Planchet" now would have it be Thinner(Rim & Field..Mostly Field) for sure than a normal planchet which would be the weight differance cause of thickness of Planchet after roll thinning it. https://www.coinworld.com/news/prec...nghouse.html http://www.error-ref.com/2011-04-11/ http://www.error-ref.com/rolled-thin-planchets/ https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/wha...nchet-768470 https://minterrornews.com/news-4-18...kennedy.html (just a few) Rim would also be thinner than normal cause of pressure on thinner planchet would not push out as much as thicker planchet.
