I will give this one a shot.

Denars from this period should have a legend around the double barred cross, and this one does not (unless it has been clipped off), so I think this could be a mid-15th century Hungary obol, like one of those listed below. The poor condition of the reverse makes it difficult to be sure:

Thanks for the insight. It's a pretty rough little lot I picked up... but less than $2 a coin seems a good deal any day.

Absolutely!

Someone else may come along and nail down those two letters (including whether the image with cross is right side up ... I can't tell), which would help with a more definitive ID.
