2021 Peace And Morgan Dollars!

I received my O privy today, never got a shipping notification for the coin though. The D and S show they were shipped, but still no movement from the postal service. Overall the coin is rather mediocre, the details seem to be lacking and not as sharp as they should be. I'd much rather stick with the originals, they look better, have a better history, and are much more enjoyable to find an example that pleases.

What? No super secure missing reed edge? Not as good as originals but I still like them and glad the Mint honored the 100th.

Received my O and CC today! 5 months (+ 1 day) from the original order. Wow.

All my other coins are still processing.

The privy marks are extremely small. My eyes can't clearly make them out without magnification.

In my opinion; the difference in the Original Minted Morgan dollars and the " looks " on the 2021 Morgan dollars are a few, the New coins released have a look that I have seen on MANY fake coins, minted overseas. A broken flow in the coins look, along with low finely detailed dies, as if the tonnage was NOT as strong, leaving no Crisp lines seen.

1, the flow of the dies pressing into the ORIGINAL Coins, under that high pressure created the flow lines or LUSTER seen on the final products. Today's " look " ( because I have NOT had the coins in My Hand ) Look is all I can say. Once delivered, I will see the coins up and close.

2, These planchets are as pure as they could be. That Too would affect the final products finish, Adding to the coins life span, or usage.

3, The original Dies were made by, in My Opinion, Some of the World's most Talented, Innovative, Detail Orientated , Highly Artistic People, Today, NOT.

These dies were an " Anniversary " 100 years later Re-Design from the mint's Archives, The Details or Lack of Details on Many seen Posted Releases shows poor and or weak details, either the strike and or the Dies too are not as in depth in Details, as the Originals. Just My Opinion..... Being the Highly anticipated Release(s) are Very Unique and Sought After, I Expected Better. I expected the engravers and Artists of TODAY, to rise up and RE-Celebrate the 1921 released coins, I expected better.................PS, What would the Artists of days gone bye think.

I Love Morgan silver dollars, We named our Daughter MORGAN. I in no way am belittling the work and efforts of the Mint's work, I Just Expected, along with Many, Many Collectors, I expected More.....

I think many collectors agree original MS Morgan/Peace will always be superior to the 2021. Original Morgans with natural luster, PL and DMPL are beautiful! However, 2021 Morgan/Peace have more detail than original Morgans with weak flat strikes notabley New Orleans mint. I'd love 2021 Morgan/Peace proof and reverse proof versions but doubt it will happen.
