I am also wondering if it's because these have no patina yet, all the Morgans/Peace take on a patina (not necessarily toning) that has to be acquired over time. Like I posted beforehand I like them, but I'm pretty certain I'll do like I do with limited release ASE, I'll get those but not the regular mint releases. So when the mint releases a reverse proof Morgan or Peace take my money! But other times I'll live vicariously through your purchase. Now to pay these off and go back to the 7070

A coin either has luster after minting, or it has not. These 2021 Morgan and Peace dollars have not. There are basically weakly struck, highly polished bullion discs.

I didn't say "luster", I said Patina, a 100 year old Morgan just has a more appealing look. It could be the milky whiteness of the coin or it could be how some frosting has occurred over the years. While the new ones have the mark free face, it just doesn't look as nice as an older Morgan (toning and all).

for those who have gotten a D and A S where did they ship from? Was it from the Western US since they where minted in the West?

Some of my older ASE have the "patina" you speak of, so you may be right that these will acquire patina over time despite being bullion content coins.

Just got an email from the Mint saying: Quote: Thank you for your recent order. Unfortunately, we are not able to fulfill it at this time. Please call our Customer Service Center at your earliest convenience at 1-800-872-6468.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and look forward to working with you to fulfill your order.
No idea what this is about. Card is good and has been charged multiple authorizations. Keep getting a busy signal or call can not be completed when calling the number.

Sorry I don't have time for really high res pictures right now, but here are some photos of the the Denver and San Francisco Morgan dollars that I just got in the mail a few minutes ago: [As an aside, could they possibly have made those mint marks any smaller?]

RPT, I just got the same email. I'll give them a call but it takes days to get through to them. Not sure what the problem is myself as they charged me for them last week.
