Made some time to pick up a few more BWR for pennies, and found this one. Can't decide if it's a strike through wire, or my next thought was a die crack.

Let me know what you think, thanks (:

Looks more like a die crack to me. But others will know better I'm sure.

Looks more like a die crack to me. If you have some aluminum foil, tear off a small piece the size of the coin. Then press the foil on the area in question with the shiny side up. After pressing on it. Is the raised area on the top shiny side or on the dull side of the coin. I feel it is raised on the shiny side. (that would indicate a die crack). It if is raised on the dull side, then it could be either damage or a struck through wire. But I'm leaning towards raised, being a die crack on the shiny side of the foil.

Thanks guys,
I can tell when looking at coin in hand it is raised and not a "void".
Will try some foil to confirm, but my thoughts now agree it's a die crack.
I had thought strike through wire would leave it raised if the wire remained on the coin after being stamped, and also the slight lightening bolt effect Which is why I loosely thought it could be that.

It looks like a die crack under the steps, and a scratch on the steps.

Certainly looks like a die crack to me as well, and some sort of PMD on the steps.
