A very excellent collection, Dearborn. And, I'm very envious of the quality of your photos. I know the time and effort it takes to build a collection like yours. When I started collecting silver coins my first order was Silver Eagle Proofs and I eventually put together three complete sets (I have three kids) from 1986 to 2023 and today Silver Eagles make up one third of my total collection. I will continue to check out this thread to see any new additions. BTW, As I was scrolling through this topic I noticed some members mentioning military service and that's an important thing to remember. In WWII my Dad was in a Recon Squad in France and Belgium and five of my Mom's seven brothers were in the Army, Navy or Marines. I went into the Army in 1969 and did a tour in Vietnam from early 1970 until early 1971.

Thanks GLB, The images I take are done just using my android cell phone camera. no real set up for my coins (just a steady hand I guess) For me the ASE portion of my collection is just a very small part of what I have acquired over the years, but they are the best looking coins I have.. I spent 12 years in the Navy chasing Soviet subs around in the oceans, Was planning on going for the full 20+ but a service injury decided that for me and was medically discharged. So as my Italian Grandmother used to say "whata ya gonna do?"

I use a cell phone as well but my hands aren't as steady as they used to be especially after a cup of coffee. I started collecting silver coins at the end of 2019 and I've managed to accumulate a decent amount in that time. My Silver Eagle collection is up to 339 coins but I won't be buying any more until next year. I totally agree that they are the best looking coin around and they will continue to be my most collected coin.
My Mom's youngest brother was a twenty year Navy man from the early 50s until the early 70s. He managed to catch the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was at the San Diego base when he retired as an SK1 and then continued to work there as a civilian for twenty-three more years.

Collecting the three sets of proofs was a task but I really like Silver Eagles. I mentioned before that I buy everything in increments of 3 because I'm building 3 identical collections for my 3 children.

And I apologize - I forgot to thank you for your service. I saw your post in the Veterans topic and had a comment there, but not properly acknowledging your service. So, Thank you for your service.

If I've not mentioned it before, thank you for your service. Though I've never served myself, my Dad retired in 1975 on full disability after 21 years of service in the Navy.

You know I'm a fan. I just checked out my Excel list to see if I'm covered for 2023.
