This coin is still in a live ebay auction with still a few days to run. I do not like posting links to live auctions in a public forum as I feel such acts would be "interfering with an auction" by drawing attention to it...

If it is the one I remember it is a nice EF coin. catelogue value I wouldn't know. Mind you the catelogue price would be outdated anyway, as you know.

I like it, I personally would pay about $30au for it. Then again it may go much higher all depending on interest.

Then it is up to how badly you want it.

Don't worry I won't bid on it.

hi,
i have a qv 1871 thirnteenth of a shilling in good condition. I decided I best have a scout round on the net to see if I could find out if it is worth anything, I found a site that said about it having 3 leopards on the crest originally which was an error by the minters, apparently the majority were recalled and melted down to be re minted with the correct 3 lions. Now to me that sounds like its quite rare and as I know nothing about coins I dont know if that story actually makes it valuable or just a more collectable item? please can someone let me know if I'm sitting on a lil gem or have loads of collectors got one of these! ? lol
