So... Found this today in my change and I'm wondering if any of you guys have seen something like this and if it's MD or PMD? To me it almost looks like someone may have tried to take paper hole punch to it, but wasn't sure if maybe this could have been caused during the minting process...As always thank you all for any productive feedback!
It isn't anything that happened in the minting process. Someone may have used a punch or some other tool to try and cut the center out of the coin, but didn't cut all the way through. Just a spender, or keep it as an oddity. It'll only cost you a cent!
If they did use a hole punch intended for paper on this coin, the blade of the punch was severely damage in the process.
