Not sure about value, but that would be a fun find. A 1977 star note with 7s in the serial. If I found it, I might put it into a book to flatten it out and revisit it in a few years.

I like similar finds of these circulation star notes * and interesting serial numbers in the wild, save it if you like or spend it as CoinFrog suggest. I usually keep my finding, but sometime do release it in the wild.

Your note is from print run #13, printed in September 1979. A total of 640K notes were printed for this run out of a total of more than eight million replacement notes printed for just this one district. It's a cool find. I keep all $1 star notes I find regardless of condition. I know they have little, if any value above face, I just think they're fun to collect.
