I Found This Blank Planchet In A Box Of Wheat Cents

I found this, what appears to be a blank planchet, in a box with only wheat cents. It weighs 2.76 gms and is .9 mm thick and is non magnetic. Looking at one side it looks like circular lathe lines but I dont see them on the other side. But the other side, when looking at it at a slight angle, looks like a faint bust or could be Pareidolia on my part. What do you all think? A cent someone turned down or something else. Thanks for looking!

One side looks perhaps sanded down, the other has concentric rings like a tree. The weight shows X amount has been removed.

The second image shows lathe lines and what looks like bays/columns on that image. So it looks altered.
