Hello all,
Would a 1957 Franklin half with FBL bring any premium over a non FBL. Or should the be FBL to begin with. I am just getting into proofs and noticing the FBL.
Any help would be great.

When talking about Proofs you don't grade with the FBL....or with Proof Nickels you don't grade with FS.
Now if you have a Proof Franklins that the bell is really sharp it might get a higher grade....but you don't list the FBL in a grade.

Your welcome---Proof Franklins are great coins...I just updated my PF66 1957 NGC one to a NGC PF66CAMEO....

How can you tell the different grades? If somebody told me it was a pf61, and it was actually a 67, I would not know.

That is where you need to practice grading....that just comes with time.....I'm still not good at it!
