1953 S Washington-Carver Commemorative Half - Mintmark

commems CCF Master Historian of USA Commemoratives United States 12334 Posts	Posted 05/09/2022 09:57 am It could just be artifacts related to the lighting/imaging, but I detect doubling on several of the letters in "FREEDOM" - namely, on "FREEDO". I'll let specialists in die doubling chime in here to get more opinions. Even if the coin does prove to have minor doubling, I agree with nickelsearcher - the mint mark appears to be the result of being re-punched. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time!
