On the DDR, it is enlarged, not reduced: Machine Doubling altered the devices post strike. Reducing the size of these devices. On a doubled die, the die is doubled and the devices are enlarged on the die. So you can have Machine Doubling on a doubled die, but Machine Doubling never creates a doubled die. Machine Doubling is a removal of part of the contour of the devices, usually on one side of the affected devices. CoopHome: How to tell a 1982 FS-1801 from a normal die? note the devices are wider on the DDR. look for spread on the devices, not incuse reduction of the device sizes.
