Really corroded, is the corrosion exacerbated by a mint error. If you ask me, using zinc to begin with was an error.

We used to fasten a chunk of zinc inside of, oh I better not say where. It might be a secrete. But the purpose of zinc is to attract corrosion. So why use it on coins?
