1996 D Penny Error What's It Called?

Jam82 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 03/24/2023 11:48 pm Hello everyone I got this penny today in my change and at first thought someone had tried to cut it, upon closer inspection I see its not cut but stamped through the date with the E and M of America from the reverse and they are about in the same spot they are on the reverse also you can see other letters above in god we. I believe it is from another planchet that got stuck and stamped down on this coin. Thanks your comments are appreciated thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

Someone has stacked a few cents and then squished them together causing mechanical transfer of the design from one coin to the other. This is damage and has no numismatic value.
