There are two knobs at the bottom base of the foot drapery on the 1917 that I never noticed before. Those two knobs show up on the OP coin.

This is a 1917 without a doubt.

The shield is a one look dead giveaway. Definitely a 1917.

I had forgot about the shield. Here are are all the die markers difference between the 1917 and 1916.
