Can you tell me if there are some good, general value/price guidelines of what to use to protect Lincoln cents in the following protectors:
* 2 x 2 cardboard flips (e.g., up to $10?) * 2 x 2 vinyl flips (e.g., up to $20?) * airtites (e.g., up to $50) * any other storage devices (e.g., tubes, certified cases, etc.)
That is an interesting question @hild, so I hope you get a robust response. For my collection, 100% of the coins are in 2x2s or slabs and the only slabbed coins are ones that came that way when I bought them and haven't (yet) freed them from their tombs. For me, the value of the coin doesn't determine the storage medium. Keep in mind though that my current area of focus is on medieval coins rather than, for example, high-grade modern US coins.

I use Quadrium square coin capsules for most of my "good/expensive/keeper" coins. The quadrums are contained in 2x 20 pocket ENCAP 3 ring binder pages. I purchase them from my LCS or Lighthouse. (The 19 mm size fits cents.)
