Quote: My assumption is that Dansco had an earlier version of album #8140 with 7 pages, accommodating coins up to 1991. Instead of continuously adding new pages to the current album, they might have decided to start a new album, #8141, beginning from 1992 to store coins for another 30-40 years, similar to how #8140 can hold over 50 years of coins. When they realized that the US Mint started Statehood Quarter series in 1999, they added an 8th page to #8140 to include coins up to 1998 and discontinued album #8141. Again, this is my assumption based on what I have seen in few albums I have and how US mint changed Washington quarter series in 1999. Ah, that would make sense. Thanks for bringing that album to our attention! Mods, can we add the "8141 Washington quarters 1992 to date including proof-only issues" to the master list in the OP?
