The metal does not flow into the void, the coin is not round where the 'Blakesley effect should be but it is bulging out a bit - the collar would have prevented this from happening. the edge image shows a cut from one side only not from both sides as would be expected from the blanking machine. As for the Blakesley effect - above the 'M' I think I can see marks (indents) from a pair of pliers. Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember.
