I wanted to post it yesterday but forgot: Archbishopric of Salzburg, zweier, 1517. The 1521 coin had the combo-flower arms of Archbishop Matthäus Lang von Wellenburg; this one has the turnip of his predecessor, Leonhard von Keutschach, which we might see a few more times in this thread (not from me) because he issued dated coins starting from 1500 (so his first issues are technically just within the 15th century). I like how the back of this uniface coin shows several shadow features of the main design (including part of the date).

Quote: this one has the turnip of his predecessor, Leonhard von Keutschach Cool coin. I love it when humble things like turnips show up in heraldry (normally reserved for lions, eagles and such). The other place where the turnip shows up is as privy mark on coins of West Friesland in the 1720s and 1730s. For 1516 another Lithuanian half groat. Check out this engraver's n in mOnETA, SIGISmVnDI, mAGnI and LITVAnIE . If you didn't know what word to expect, they could easily be mistaken for an r:

I have am embarrassment of riches for 1513 (several themes in my collection seem to intersect here). First, this quarter teston of the Duchy of Lorraine: The Lorraine and Polish engravers must have gone to the same school. This ruler is not named ARTHOR, but ANTHON.
