Quote: this Schilling from Würzburg is datable to 1454 (Ehwald 5607) I've got that one on my list, but it doesn't come up as often as the 1443 (and the examples on MA-shops seem rather overpriced).

Oops! Looks like I missed 1453 Here's my (1453 CE) AH 857 Jaunpur Sultanate tanka GG# J12. For some reason I have a note to confirm the type for this coin on zeno.ru. Idk why I suspected it may be a different type and obviously haven't had a chance to look into it more. Either way the date is obviously 857 For 1451 CE I have an AH 855 akce of Mehmed II, Ottoman Empire, Serres mint This one is obverse type A (graphic from Numista)

The initials mB on this Venice grosso belong to Marco Barbarigo who became "massaro" (a mint official) in May, 1450. The system in Venice was not the same as in Florence where mintmasters had exact 6 month terms, but as there was a new massaro in September, 1450, I think there is a good chance the coin was struck that year.

Cologne Groschen 1449 (Levinson I-87). @dear while OFEY may not be the primary focus of your collection, my recollection is that this coin dated 1449 is quite easily found in auctions. Just in case you want to fill in a hole before we get to the 14th century...
