The third image seems to show a ghostly leaf on the reverse which I think might be a leaf from the obverse. I know that's not where it would typically be, but I'm thinking that the die was rotated when it picked up the image and then reinserted without being polished. I apologize for the image quality, but these are the seller's pics and I was just wondering if any of you experts could tell what's going on with this coin.

To me, what you are showing is just a stain or discoloring of some sort. I have marked up your pics with the typical places to look for clashing on Morgan dollars.

I'm thinking they're stains/discoloration.

Does it look raised or flat?

I couldn't even tell you as I do not own the coin. I find myself inclined to agree with those who say it's a stain.
