Large date, large leaf, despite what the holder says.

Yep, LD/LL, as Rob says. I hope no one buys it thinking that it's the other.

Woops, I see that the 2,200 was the selling price, not an estimate. The guy spent 2,280 plus fees for a $5-600 coin

Looks like someone bought the holder on that one.

Yep, at $2,280 I am guessing at least two people took the holder at face value. You have to be careful on these, as PCGS sometimes gets this reverse variety wrong. I know of a 64RB out there with the same attribution error.

As most know, the SDLL, 1891 cent is a scarce and highly priced variety. I did not count them, but I suspect that the TPGs have graded 50 or so in mint state and they go for thousands of dollars each. As I said, I know of two mint state coins that are mis-attributed and are really LDLL cents. In 2018, I contributed to a CN Journal (along with SPP and TheCoinHunter) that described some very high-quality counterfeit Obverse 2, 1891 SDLL cents. I have now seen five of these counterfeits, all with the same defects, all in MS-63 and higher TPG holders.

Caveat Emptor.
