1975 D Lincoln Memorial Cent Missing VDB?

Just ran across this coin while CRH. The first thing that caught my eye was the 7 in the year is slightly smoother than the rest of the date. Might be some kind of grease error. Then I noticed the VDB initials are missing. You can just make out some wavy lines where they normally should be.

The VDB is missing from a Grease Filled Die or from over polishing the die.

No big deal - those miniscule letters are raised on the die - very easy to be polished off.......

The VDB are incuse letters - So I would venture a guess for a Grease Filled Die over a polished die (seeing how the taper of the bust is not diminished any
