Yes, I'll say XF-40 as well. A nice looking Obv 3 worth more than 20X what you paid for it, and yes it's the R/P'd T in Gratia.

No Vicky sludge at all on an EF coin, flat monochromatic color on both sides.

I have seen coins lightly boiled in water and a bit of Tide. They come out looking like this.

I have spent a certain amount of time restoring old coins.

I am not sure this is cleaned but there is for sure some environmental damage at a minimum. Maybe a form of verdigris from spending some time in a PVC flip.

I would do the WD40 treatment on this one. There are probably references to it here. A quick spray or soak with WD40. A quick brush with a cotton swab....no rubbing! Then wash in Dawn, rinse and pat dry. No rubbing! I think this will come out looking much better.
