Quote: A new add. A bit worn but I got it for pennies and it must have had a interesting life. Clement XII ND (1735) 1 Giulio. Excellent!

Another acquisition - a 1627 1 Testone used during the rule of Urban 8th. The obverse shows the Papal heraldic achievement with Barberini Bees as the main device - my favourite! The reverse shows St Peter and St Paul standing, keys and book in left hands, radiate dove above, Mintmaster arms between RO and MA. .

I picked up a few Papal States coins recently and this is another one. A 1761 1 Teston issued by Clement XIII showing St. Peter and St. Paul standing, radiant dove above, temple between Arms of Mons. Paolo Massei below.

Another add - this Clement XI ND (1706) 1 Giulio Rome mint. This coin was struck during the War of the Spanish Succession, when much of Europe was embroiled in financial as well as civil turmoil. The motto "NON CONCVPISCES ARGENTVM" ("Thou shalt not covet silver") may have been a reference to monetary stability as well as the usual admonition about greed and avarice. It seems to be a variant of the Numista example - though variants are not mentioned there. https://en.numista.com/116478

Another Pope ticked off the list. Sixtus IV ND (1471-1484) 1 Denier / 1 Picciolo Sixtus IV is remembered for major architectural and cultural projects—most famously commissioning the Sistine Chapel. The obverse shows a semi-oval coat of arms surmounted by crossed keys and a tiara. The reverse shows a bust of St. Peter with nimbus in front, holding key in right hand and book in left
