My goal is coins from host nations of an olympics and some ancients. Also maybe some gold coins if my wallet says I can.

So far little success.

I was lucky enough to receive a very SPECIAL coin today out of Australia. In 2004 they issued a special set of silvers and the dollar Mob of Roos was done is silver and is a huge 40mm coin! Only 18,000 sets were struck and finding an individual silver Mob of Roos would be tough, as it would have to be busted out of that silver set, but NOW one is residing in Indiana and will be for years and years!!!

Three things (categories) come to mind. 1) Mint state early date Walkers that I can afford. Yes, that's an oxymoron! 2) Pre-Civil war New Orleans eagle & double eagle. 3) All the "junk" silver I can get my hands on near spot. (Very near!) Although it looks expensive compared to the recent past, I believe silver has a LONG way to go & is still affordable.

72 IKE (all 3 varieties) in MS65 or better grades.

They are big and easy on the eyes to look at...all of it!

I bought most of the Russian coins that I have to complete in my type sets. What is left is some notoriously expensive coins, or actually hard to come by coins. Some of my coins don't even pop up in the market often these days.

One of the few copper coins that I need to complete my Imperial Russian coinages is a 1724 kopek, but that has a nasty 4 figure price tag, so I guess that's going to be completed after I win a lotto.

oh I would love to have any date morgan proof as well but I know its not going to be my next coin or anything just because of the price. I think I will save that for when I have the full set collected and then I may go looking for that proof morgan I have coveted since I started collecting

Well I picked up a couple of Silver Eagles today and grabbed three 1/10 oz. gold bullion coins (1999 and 2001) for the little guy (his money and he spends it wisely for a 4 year old) and not to be completely outdone on the gold I grabbed a 1999 tenth ounce for me as well! I just can't believe the price of those little gems right now!!! It all boils down the fact they were lying there screaming "take me home" please so I did!!!
