bhmtokens New Member Canada 44 Posts	Posted 12/13/2025 3:34 pm I haven't posted for quite a while. I was enjoying the summer months too much. Now that its winter, I am on my computer a bit more and enjoying numismatics again. Can anybody provide more information about these tokens. It is my understanding that these were used at The Royal Mint for canteen purchases, as money was not allowed to be brought into the Mint by employees. Is that correct? Does anybody have any additional information? I'm looking for what era these were used ('60's/'70's/'80's?). Are they collectible? Do they have any value? I tried searching on line, but I can't seem to find much information. These are out of my normal collecting area. Thank you in advance for any information. Report this Post to the Staff

Sap Moderator Australia 16817 Posts	Posted 12/14/2025 05:40 am According to this article, they were used when the Mint was still situated on Tower Hill in London. As that mint almost exclusively struck predecimal coinage, presumably they are denominated in predecimal rather than decimal pence, and would date from the 1960s rather than the 1970s.
