Maybe exposed to some sort of chemical. The other coin looks like it may have been dropped on it's edge. Report this Post to the Staff

Agree with what triggersmob said, the copper color is due to toning after exposure to something in the environment. Depending on what a coin gets exposed to, you can get some interesting colors including "rainbow" effects. The other coin has probably copped a heavy knock while in circulation.
