Unknown Very Small Coin

With these suggestions I will do some squinting in good light. But the item mentioned by @NumiFan (1/4 kakini from the Naga dynasty) looks promising. This is partly because of a weight and size match, and partly because in the 2x2 I placed it in I can detect some raised dots pressing the plastic, otherwise not detectable.

These tiny worn coppers never make the "most wanted" coin lists, but I find them quite an ID challenge and numismatically very interesting.

I agree, it looks like upside down (old) Devanagari script.

There is apparently a mysterious small type with a bust on the other side, but it's still much larger than 8 mm (and what I'm seeing on your second pic doesn't really match a bust).
