When I first saw the semi q coins last year I knew I wanted them. I placed a subscription for 10 roll sets and 10 bags. They have been off and on for subscription. Lately they have been on all the time. This morning I realized that the mint changed my subscription from my order of 10 and 10 to the new household limit of 2 and 2. I've never had this happen before. If you had a subscription for something they honored that regardless of limits that were changed later. What are y'all's ideas and conclusions on this change? Bill

I don't really know. But, I'm standing by my subscription for 10 US Mint Sets. If they reduce my subscription I will be less than happy.

I agree, the mint set, proof set, and silver proof set are more important. If they don't get much pushback now they feel inclined to change any and all.

I just checked. My standing subscription for 4 roll sets was reduced to 2 as well.

I've said it here many times, they are losing a FORTUNE by not making an unlimited number available. People would buy them, even at these inflated prices.

Yup. Poor management.

I've been fuming about the roll out of general circulation coins. I seems the bank managers and the people that roll the coins are diverting them to ebay or dealers.

Rather they change it than cancel the order and you lose out completely which is the usual HHL result if you try and place multiple orders.

I got an email from the mint today about the 2026 half dollars describing the coin and the design, then at the bottom there is a statement about the subscription and pausing it. Quote:For one year only, the Half Dollar steps away from its iconic Kennedy portrait to mark America's 250th with a design unlike any before it. The obverse (heads) features a powerful close-up of the Statue of Liberty—her unwavering gaze fixed firmly on the future, a symbol of resilience, hope, and the enduring promise of freedom. The reverse (tails) continues the story—Liberty passes her torch to a new generation, its flame trailing with the momentum of purpose. Above this striking image, the words of James Madison remind us what makes it all worth protecting: "Knowledge is the only guardian of true liberty." Available in Two-Roll Sets and 200-Coin Bags, this release gives collectors and history enthusiasts the opportunity to own this once-in-a-generation design in larger quantities—perfect for sharing, collecting, or preserving as part of America's 250th anniversary story. In 2027, Kennedy's portrait returns to the obverse—making the 2026 issue a truly singular moment in the coin's long history. Currently subscribed to Kennedy half dollar releases? You may pause your subscription for 2026 by logging into your account and adjusting your settings under "My Subscriptions." Now why would the mint want me to suspend my sub for this coin set? very strange.

Why, I do not know, but someone will want to pause them.

They're probably doing what The Royal Mint did. Make things rare, and then push up the prices and people will pay because of the potential for rare.

There was another change to subscriptions today. The 2026 uncirculated mint coin sets now have a HHL of 10. If you ordered more than that they were lower to the HHL. This is going to be a major issue for resellers. And pre sellers

I was able to get on the mint website yesterday and get the mint set. Took me a long while!! I am happy the mint limited the HHL to 10 sets. The unlimited was crazy and hurt collectors IMO. I've never ordered mint sets, but I have to have those cents!!
