During my coin roll hunting adventures I picked up a $1000 box of modern dollars. I did not look too closely at it until I got home when I noticed that it appears to be a first release box of William Henry Harrison dollars. The box is stamped by NF String and Son, Inc. with an inspection date of Feb 3, 2009 and the box has a seal that says "DO NOT BREAK SEAL UNTIL FEB 19", which was the release date of the William Henry Harrison dollar. The box is intact, and all seals appear unbroken. Therefore, I believe this is a full box of uncirculated William Henry Harrison dollars. I have not opened the box, but I am not sure what to do with it. Is there a market for WHH dollars? Any suggestions are welcome.

If it were mine, I'd be opening every roll looking for Missing Edge Lettering.... but that's just me.

Very interesting!

I would be too tempted to search it. But, it seems like it might sell for a premium.

I have contacted several LCS, but none of them are interested, which is why I wonder how much of a market there is for Presidential dollars, and WHH dollar in particular. I could go down the ebay path and try to sell rolls, but I have no experience with that and don't want this to drag out. I appreciate the suggestions; I really want to open it up and search it myself, but have held off to make sure there is not an alternative.

It might be best to do whatever would bring you the most enjoyment. Sounds like searching them would provide more of that enjoyment than selling them.

If you do decide to go through the box, it could take you longer than he was President!

Looking at SOLD listings on ebay for original bank wrapped rolls, it seems that after fees and shipping costs, sellers were lucky to break even with face value.
