Somewhere between VG and fine details with some kind of environmental residue/damage. The residue might come off with an acetone bath followed by a water rinse. With copper you just never know what the end result is gonna be.

I don't do well in grading but I like this coin. Don't get to see many 1909 with the San Fransico mint mark.

Almost full wheat lines, lots of detail. Nice, original coin. I wouldn't do anything except to blow off the dust and put it in a 2x2.
