1944 D Washingtion Quarter Dollar Value?

Bristol Bloke New Member United Kingdom 2 Posts	Posted 10/05/2009 3:27 pm Hello I was given some old coins of varying conditions and found a 1944 "D" Washington quarter dollar coin amongst them. I have been looking around online, and believe it is 90% silver and having a bit more value? In terms of grading - the eagle side is pretty much clear of marks, and there are some slight scratches on the reverse. I would rate it as Good or Very Good. Apologies for not posting a pic to make it easier to see the coin, but I only have a camera on my mobile phone and the pictures came out fuzzy. I wondered if anyone could be so kind as to give me an idea on it's value? Thank you. Report this Post to the Staff

In most circulated conditions it is worth the silver melt value, but better conditions would add a numismatic premium. NumisMedia will give you an idea what ranges the retail value is. Selling it to a coin dealer would get much less.
