I searched for years for a 1990d No Designer Initials Jefferson nickel. Got one given to me by a friend a couple of months ago. Since then, I have found FOUR of them!

Tough to find variety; not much talked about. Thrilled to have five of them!

I've looked for a long time also. You probably have the one I couldn't find. Anyway, good going. By the way, what are they worth ?

Really neat. I did not know that variety existed. What is the work of one of those nickels?

I,too, have been looking for these ever since Wheezydog alerted us to the fact, but have yet to find any.

Congrats on your finds!

Way to go CND ..... great finds indeed!

I admit as well that I did not know this variety existed ..... and as I approach 100,000 nickels searched I have to wonder if I threw one back by mistake.

Such is the great value of this forum ..... education and inspiration.

Tell us ... are there other 'no designer initial' varieties besides the 1990-D we should be looking for?

I don't know about no initials coins other than 1989 no VDB cents, no FG 1966 halves, and no FG 1982 halves. You might also want to keep an eye out for 1968, 69, and 70 no mintmark nickels.
