1909-S - Obverse pic very over exposed, looks to be about F-12, CDN ask $125

1909-S VDB - You should send it off for authentication/grading. The obverse wear is inconsistent with the reverse. Obverse G6, reverse F12, net grade VG8. CDN ask $935

1914-D - This is a nice coin, should have no prob with VF-20/25, CDN ask $425.

1922 plain, weak reverse, VF-25/30, very high grade for a no D weak reverse, I love this coin. Looks to be die pair 3 to me. Don't listen to what some may tell you, this coin is worth more than most collectors think and is perhaps rarer than the strong reverse. I would send this to PCGS. The prices of these are all over the map. I've seen lower grades go $150 and higher grades over $500. It's a very desirable coin to any serious Lincoln collector.

1931-S -Something doesn't look quite right with the date and MM to me. Coin is VF (separation between cheek and jaw). CDN ask $115.

Hey Thad, what do you think of that mm on the 09-S V.D.B.?
It threw up some flags with me. I agree, that needs to go to PCGS or NGC. ANACS would be fine too.

'09-S is close to VF but looks corroded. $130
'09-S VDB looks VG and like was stated, it has to be authenticated. $850
'14-D looks VF+ $350
'22 No "D" might be a weak "D", I'd send it to a top TPG for confirmation. $100 if a Weak "D"
'31-S is another VF+, a touch better than the '14-D. $110

The prices could go higher if the VDB and '22 were authenticated.

In the absence of better pictures, it looks about right.

I believe I have some better pics... Had to get out the scanner. I really appreciate your comments. Can you tell me why you have concern over the S VDB is it because of the Shadow around the mint mark?

Now that I can see the mint mark better, I'm pretty certain the SVDB is counterfeit. When I first saw it, I had a tough time lining it up with any of the 4 different obverse dies used. Now that I see it closer it looks like this classic counterfeit:

Not exactly what I was hoping for but I really appreciate the help. You mentioned concern with the 31 MM also. Do you still see a problem with it also?

I'm almost positive the SVDB is counterfeit. I'm not sure about the 1909-S, never really studied those. Post these pics in the variety/error section and hope that Bill or Chuck looks at them. They are the REAL experts and they'll tell you instantly if they are counterfeits.

I say you'd better send all these key dates in for grading. My local dealer submits to NGC for me and only charges $25/coin. It's well worth the money to get the piece of mind and, should you ever need to sell, it will be a lot easier. Besides, I could certainly be wrong about the authenticity, I've been wrong before.
