By the way, jbuck, I've got a trio of gorgeous Ikes heading my way. I should have them by the end of the week. I will post pics then. I just wanted to give all my Ike friends something to look forward to. I'll give a hint with two words: CRISP and COLOR! Stay tuned. . . .

MODs ~`~`~` STAFF I am not sure where to place this post. Any help will be appreciated. Yesterday, my branch Credit Union manager called me to go to another branch to get 95 MIGHTY IKEs71 D sixteen 72 P two 72 D eight 74 P one ~`~`~` Circulated but Grease strike. 74 D seven 77 P one 77 D five 78 P two 78 D two 76 (D-P) (Type 1-2) fifty one. Most will grade MS. Some are circulated, some are AU. I when back to my beloved CU Branch Manager today, to bring a bag of chocolates. She was out to lunch. Her actions tell me she is a faithful bird dog. About 5-6 months ago the call came in for a similar score AT THE SAME BRANCH. Belive there might be a shot at more IKEs in the future. Maybe some one in that area is DUMPING a hundred here, and a hundred there. I spent a lot of (kindness-friendship) time with her, and it is paying off big time.

UP-DATE
Have just made up a bag of chocolates for the branch that HAD the IKEs. They need to know I thank and appreciate them too.
Difficult drive for me, but wish to get proactive independent action directly from that branch also. Also leaving my phone number with the chocolates.

Way to go, Domain. I would have been thrilled to get that load of Ikes for face value.

Darth UP-DATE ~`~`~` again Quote: Way to go, Domain. I would have been thrilled to get that load of Ikes for face value. Just delivered the chocolate stuff to the "other" branch. WOW WOW WOW. Head Teller called me by name, with smiles. She said: Would you like 2 more? But first let me check the other tellers to see if they have any more. At this point I am having chest pains and shortness of breath. Only 2 IKEs in the bank. But she went on to say I have your name, (and phone number) and I will call you directly when we get 'em.Building a good Credit Union relationship is starting to pay off for me.

 - I can only imagine. I received 2 of the 3 Ikes I mentioned a few posts before. The 3rd one is still in transit from Florida. But I'll go ahead and show the seller photos, as well as the TrueView image. I received these two from Great Collections. The 1971-D is an upgrade for my registry set, and it is also my first CAC coin. Let me tell you, this is the most stunning business strike Cu-Ni Ike in my collection, BY FAR. It is very crisp and clean. The fields appear as glistening satin sparkles. Even the excellent photos by Ian Russell and Co. do not do this coin justice. It actually looks like a satin silver piece. Great Collections photo: Cropped close-up: The 1974-S silver proof is going into my sub-collection of toned Ike dollars. I like it. Then, there is this one, which will also become a member of the toned Ike collection: Seller photos: Even though this Ike is a lower grade, the colors more than make up for it, IMO. Eye appeal always comes first for me, especially when toning is involved. Grade is secondary. I was waiting for all of these coins to arrive so I could photograph them myself, but I grew impatient. I really hope the other Ike comes in tomorrow. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve. Hope you guys enjoy these!
