I was going through some of my Ikes today, and I stumbled upon this one. It was in a BU roll of 1974-D Ikes that I purchased from davenders some time last year. I think it may be an error of some sort. Perhaps a lamination error? It looks odd, and this blotchy appearance is only on the obverse.

Wow. Probably needs to be its own post in the US Modern V/E forum for expert eyes to see. I can split this out or you can repost in V/E. Maybe the latter because I would hate to take away anything from this thread.

From ebayReasonably priced. This month have been moving into a new phase of collecting. Before it was (about) get a buck for a buck. Still pulling ever so hard to get 'em that way. This week, have bid on less than twenty 1973 (D-S-P) IKEs, then never increase the bid. Just let the coin come to me at my comfortable price. This is the first coin, under this way of biding.
