Now I want a real 2016!
I admit I gave in to the Daniel Carr 1970 and 1975 Ikes. My only regret is I did not get one of each.

I would love to have those Daniel Carr Ikes, but they're just too expensive now.

I passed on those. Persoanlly I consider them illegal (if only on the most technical grounds). However, to each their own; I do not judge as it was my own decision to not buy them.

Well, I sure don't want to open up that can of worms again. But I will show the latest addition to my Big Sky Hoard subset: 1976 Type 2.

Is the type 3 1972 Ike better than type one? Because I just found one.

Yes, the Type 3 starts to get expensive at MS65. MS66? Crazy numbers appear. My Type 3 is a 64. Eventually, I will upgrade to 65. I'll stop there. A 65 is good enough for me.

I was reluctant to even mention it, but I needed to get the link in there because someone else would have and I wanted to steer the conversation from this thread. Good move. Wait a minute. . . . Brace yourselves! Brace yourselves! I got the 1976 Type 2 on Friday and the 1978-D on Saturday. A good Ike-filled weekend.

Me too. I just bought my dansco Eisenhower dollar book. It includes proofs and all the 1976 varieties. For 1974 I put a gold plated one I found in my dads collection.
