Hello all Just got this one off ebay$3.03 Free Shipping A real mess ... But I bought it as it "might" be a poor example of an ORANGE PEEL ERROR Opinions welcomed ------------------- Orange Peel Texture PART IV. Die Errors: Die Deterioration / Die Deformation: Die Deterioration: Orange Peel Texture Definition: As a die pounds away at thousands of planchets, the surface metal experiences microscopic plastic flow. Like this (possible) ORANGE PEEL -- or a PEG LEG -- or an off center IKE Then I have the option to "COLLECT" it or resell it on ebay. All in all I really like to collect -- but then I have the option to sell when something better comes my way. |

PMD -- But how? Full visual is more or less 50% perfect REEDs and 50% uniformly deeply whacked maybe 100-150 dents on reeds Bank Coin Counter? Coin counter on road Turnpike? -- have feeling Turn Pikes get heavy deliberate "STUFF" like rocks metal etc. Zero chance a catastrophic mint collar failure? Have one other similar IKE Ideas?

How much do they cost (would you mind share with us)? I guess probably not cheap?

Thanks. I traded 2 common date graded Morgan dollars for the 1972 Type 1. The 1972-D and 1974 were $25 each. But after final value fees and shipping they ended up at $32 each. Well worth it to me for PQ Ikes. |
