Dime Roll Searching

Picked up $10 in Nickels & $15 in Dimes, all CWR, from my bank. Found a 1940 Nickel, a USA and 21 99.9 Ni Nickels. Didn't expect to find much in the Dimes but I did find a 1954 Silver Dime.
1 Silver out of 3 rolls! I like that hit rate

Found a 1942-D Mercury dime this week however it wasnt from searching rolls, I work in a used sporting goods store and an older lady brought it a bunch of old golf clubs. After we bought them I was inspecting them and saw something shiny on the top of one of the clubs, to my surprise it was a Mercury dime most likely used as a ball marker guess it was my lucky day!

don't really roll hunt but do check my change for any odd ones, harder to find anything now a day. I have found a 2007 dime off struck more than 5 degrees

Saturday when grocery shopping I went to my little peoples United bank inside the store. I always clean them out of customer rolls. I got $25 in dimes....surprisingly I found 8 silver Roosevelts in just those 5 rolls. I thanked my bank teller who knows I am a collector and he said he'd tell the other tellers to sell the federal wrapped coin and to save me all the customer rolls. It works for me as I am usually at the grocery store several times a week for random stuff so it works out.

Wait a second, for you Canadians, you make money by finding USA dimes. For us Americans, we lose money by finding Canadian dimes!

Searched another box of dimes today. Found another 35 USA dimes, same as the last box, weird
I also found 2 UK 5 pence and a Barbados 10 cent.
Not as good on the silvers as the last box, but I did find a silver. A 196?, it's pretty beat up and the last digit of the date is pretty much destroyed, even under 60x magnification I can't make it out. Therefore, it's either a 1965, 1966 or 1968. It can't be 1964 or earlier because it's the tiara portrait of the queen, and it's not a 1967 because it has the sailboat (Bluenose) on it rather than the special design (Mackerel) for the commemoration of Canada's Centennial. It matters because in 1968, dimes and quarters were made of 50% silver, whereas previous to 1967 they were made of 80% silver. So I guess I'll play it conservatively and count it as a 1968 50% silver.
Well better than nothing!
