My wife found a 2003 nickel at her work today but it is only struck on one side. Could anyone tell me if it is worth anything. I have no idea what it is or could possibly be worth.

We would need pics of both sides.There are cases of this happening but also it could be a case of happening after leaving the mint.

I can see enough to know that the reverse of the coin has ben milled. Someone turned it on a lathe.

Looks like the beginning of a "magicians" coin, Also, has that been hollowed?

I agree ... first step to making a two headed coin.

Turn on a lathe, take off the reverse, take another coin, turn it on the lathe until you have a obverse/face that will fit right inside.
