Hi,

I was just working through my 'collection' and picked out a few coins which I was having a hard time grading. Could you guys help me out and tell me what you think the grade is and the value of the coin? These are the best pics I could provide. This coin seems to have very shiny surfaces so I suspect it is cleaned.

As with my other coins, I have my own grade which I will share as well.

1834 Capped Bust Half!

Thanks for your help!

i think the coin would grade higher if the reverse wasnt worn as much. the obv is probably a vf-30 IMO. but with the reverse I would probably have to say overall a VF-20

There is a considerable difference between the obverse and reverse grade. I would grade the obverse at F-15 and the reverse at G-6, there are no lines visable on the shield. Overall I would grade this coin at VG-10 to F-12. Value @$75.

Looks like a nice VG, Might go F-12, depending on the grader.

I think it is a F-15, may be VF but the reverse has too much wear, from the photos I would say it is original. Obv is VF and Rev VG/F so I give it a Fine. IMHO.

I think we are looking at a F. Don't think it makes VF.
