The rim damage on the George V is unfortunate but they're both worn less than mine. I hate having to buy the large cents one at a time. Hopefully sometime I'll come across a big bag of them for a reasonable price. Some people on this forum have a collection of several thousand large cents  If you come across a 1907 with an H mintmark, pick it up, they're a bit more scarce. Does your 1907 still have a hint of luster in the center of the reverse? |

honestly I'm not sure about luster, held in the light and moved, the entire center has the same "glow" or shine to it to it i am not familiar at all with the Canadian large cents, where would the H mint mark be located? and yes, the rim ding is too bad  Edited by twincam_04

Check the bottom of the 7 in the 1897. It looks recut, but may just be dirt/crud.

There'a an '07H(VG-F)on the bay with a BIN of 7.50 right now,free S&H. Or you can get an AU for about 100.

The H mintmark would be right below the date. You can't miss it if you see one

big777bill .. practice, tons of photos, and pulling out a lot of hair.. these pics I am happy with, but it's just now starting to get slightly easier for me i still haven't built a copy stand, and in my mind I know I can do better - you can too  I spent a lot of time on the photo section of the board, just reading what people are doing |

fioti - I got both of these from a seller I already had won some things from, saw what else she had for auction, she's been good to me as far as shipping things together.. I just wish she was more careful with packing.. I'm almost positive the rim ding happened on the way to me.. I have a whopping 0.79 tied up in both of these coins  |
