It appears to be a coin struck by the British East India Company as indicated by the VEC monogram. I'm not sure of the date, but it's more likely to be early 19 th century. Sap Moderator Australia 16883 Posts	Posted 11/13/2010 07:18 am For a colonial Indian copper, it actually catalogues higher than I expected ($28.50 in Fine condition in my old 2002 edition 1700s Krause). This coin has quite a bit of detail missing, but the detail that is there seems to be in fairly good shape. I'd guess somewhere in the $20 to $40 range for your piece today.
