What Percent Silver Are Canadian Silver Dimes ?

IBGolden Pillar of the Community Canada 598 Posts	Posted 11/18/2010 6:37 pm uhhm... A 1968 Canadian dime could also be pure nickel. It was a transition year for dimes and quarters. In 1967 dimes and quarters went from 80% to 50% silver... in 1968 dimes and quarters went from 50% silver to pure(1.00 fine as per The Charlton Guide) nickel. dialog_gvf Pillar of the Community Canada 1581 Posts	Posted 11/18/2010 9:54 pm And, 1967 was a transition year from 80% to 50% silver for 10c and 25c pieces. I don't think the mint ever released the split. And I think the scrap silver pricing for these is set half way between 50% and 80%. The 50c and $1 coins remained at 80% silver throughout that year.
