I'm not sure if this is the right forum. here it is anyway.this coin came off a pin.It looks like solder. Is there any way to take the solder off?Low heat maybe?
(There was 2 coins attached to the pin. This one 1942 and the other one 1943 with the solder on the obverse)Is it just a lost cause? Thanks all for ANY responses.

Lost cause. Heat and metal are a bad combination.

I don't think you can "save" it. But those are fairly common and it shouldn't be a problem to replace it. Just know when you dispose of it that the coin is .5000 silver.
